The following film trailer is from the movie; Farewell. The cast stars a range of actors including: Alexandra Maria Lara, Dina Korzun, Emir Kusturica, Guillaume Canet, Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Oleksii Gorbunov and Philippe Magnan. The director of the film is Christian Carion, and had a release date of September 23, 2009.
I have decided to look into very much the mise en scene of the film trailer to identify what effects they have on the audience and how this links with other features of the clip:
Firstly, the most clear feature of the clip is that a range of locations are used, this can be very effect when used correctly as the audience may question why this is happening. Also, many of these location used are very much secretive,or even background location, this is a key decison the director had to make in consideration with what the film was going to portray. This therefore adds tension to the clip, and linked with the music keeps the audince attracted to the clip. Due to these background locations adding tension to the clip, a sense of danger is applied and can mean that the audience question the portrayed theme.
Also, the importance of the film is based around some secret documents which are also kept a secret throughout the clip, adding to the tension. This can be collaborated with the lighting of the clip, dark locations apply the portrayed theme.
